To get started, you will want graphic design software. The two biggest that I am familiar with is of course Photoshop by Adobe, which comes with a big price tag and subscription. Or if looking for a good one-time payment, look at Affinity Designer by Serif.

Once you have your graphic design software, you will need an inkjet printer. I’ve been using the Canon Inkjet IP8720 for the past few years.

This unit can print up to 11″ x 17″ prints. With that in mind, you will need ink and heat transfer vinyl; 8.5×11 or 11×17

Once you have your image, you need your wood piece, I used 1/2″ birch plywood.
